Egyptian God Ptah - Standing Statue
Wall Plaques and Table Sculptures - Several Sizes Available! $26.95-Up
MYTHOLOGY: Originally a local god of Memphis, Ptah is generally represented as a standing mummiform figure with hands protruding from the tight shroud to hold a scepter that combines the “waas” scepter and the djed pillar symbols. He wears a tight-fitting cap, and has a menat hanging down behind his neck. Originally he was only a god of craftsmanship, therefore the invention of the arts were attributed to him, but in the Pyramid Age, he assumed the position as god of the creation. He created by means of his heart and tongue, thus his creative power was manifest in every heartbeat and in every sound. Ptah was known as the “sculptor of the earth” who created all beings on a potter’s wheel.
Anubis Box
The original of this little box was a life-size image of a jackal reclining on top of a golden casket. It was found "guarding" the door to the inner chamber of Tut's tomb. Available in two sizes.

Royal symbol of life and power, the original of this golden ankh was a mirror case found in Tutankhamun's tomb. Also available as a wall plaque.
Our reproduction of the God Ptah Statue depicts him in a mummiform wrapping of gold, holding the characteristic sceptor. The statue is standing on a base hand-finished to simulate dark wood, with hieroglphys in gold around the edges of the base. An unusual and striking decorative accent. The original was found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
