Daumier captures the real life experience of a Doctor's Visit in the 19th century. The Doctor checks the patient's pulse and prepares to make a recommendation. Taken from a Daumier lithograph, this sculpture is a faithful adaptation in three dimensions.

DAUMIER (1808-1879) French artist, lithographer, caricaturist and painter was famed for his biting satire. He was imprisoned once for six months in 1832 after drawing a cartoon of King Louis Philippe.
